Steve Dopson started in the component broker environment in 1994 for one of the largest brokers in Europe. He helped to grow to a worldwide top ten broker by 2000 where he held the position of worldwide vice president of ACG.

Since leaving the company in 2003 he used the experience he gained to help develop and launch an industry owned search engine supporting brokerage around the globe.

When approached by the CEO of Azego AG in 2006 to re-launch Azego in the UK he accepted the challenge and Azego TS Ltd opened the doors once again in January 2007.


A keen motorcyclist he competes in the national enduro championships, when not riding his bike he has been know to play a bit of golf and plays off a single figure handicap.

Ross Arbuckle started in the electronics marketplace in 1997 for a large TV, video and audio spares distributor. In early 2000 he began life in
the component market for an independent broker and later became sales manager, quickly growing a team into a successful sales force.

Azego being one of the largest independent distributors in the world offered Ross a much needed challenge and in January 2007 he joined Steve Dopson to help re-launch Azego in the UK.

In early 2008 Ross joined the board as Sales Director and partner and is continuing to build a solid team of talented Sales staff.

His hobbies include spending time in the gym, running, football, cars and golf (no where near as good as Mr Dopson)

Chris Hoyle originally started at Azego in 1999 leaving Abacus Polar for the faster and more exciting independent distribution world. Due to relocation of the head office he joined GD Technik in 2005 developing major accounts. Chris rejoined Azego as a Senior Sales Partner for the re-launch in 2007.

Chris keeps fit by mountain biking and running around after his two young sons; he also enjoys a round of golf and is an avid armchair supporter of a great football team!

Marc-Olivier Le Nardant started in the electronic industry in 2000 joining Steve Dopson in an internal sales role focusing on the French market
for the largest independent broker in Europe.

Based on his wealth of knowledge and experience of the French and European market he again joined Steve Dopson and Azego in Late 2007 in a senior sales role and partner.

Marc speaks many languages including French, English, and Spanish.

Marcs hobbies vary from superbikes and riding his own motorbike, cooking, travel, reading and playing the drums.

Henri has spent most of his working career in car sales, however he decided to make the exciting change into the diverse world of electronic components back in 2007 !

Starting within franchised distribution at Acal Technology before joining the team at Azego and the fast paced brokering division in June 2010.

Henri is a keen football follower and coaches his own U9’s team in the NEHYL. He has also just started up the Azego running club, more updates soon!

Shelley Whelan started in the electronics industry in 2004 with one of the largest franchised distributors in the world, Abacus Group, now Abacus Avnet.

Shelley joined Azego in 2009 to support the growing sales force and reseller market. Shelley’s hobbies include shopping for shoes, dancing and partying.

Pat has been in electronics distribution since 1994, starting with memory module manufacturer Centon Electronics. In 1998 he chose to move to a wider array of sales opportunities and entered into the independent distribution space.

Pat met Steve Dopson while both worked for ACG back in 2002 and was excited at the chance to work for him again when the situation presented itself.Pat is focused on building and expanding Azego TS Ltd’s OEM and CEM customer base in the Americas.

A father of three, he spends much of his evenings and weekends coaching youth sports and when time allows, enjoys boating in the waters off Massachusetts, golfing poorly and playing soccer (because he’s American) on Sunday mornings.

Casey started in the electronics industry in 2007 for L3 Communications (part of the TRL group). In 2008 Casey joined Acal technology in customer service achieving an NVQ in sales, customer service and telesales.

Casey joined Azego to support the growing sales department in early 2010 and to develop the broker sales division.

Casey’s hobbies include keeping fit, shopping and partying.

I started in the electronics market in 1998 at National semi-conductor (NSC) based in Germany as distribution sales responsible for France and Spain. I left NSC in 2005 to work for AVNET in POING(Germany) in the resellers department.

I was responsible for a broad range of MEMEC franchises. In 2007 I stepped out of the electronics industry and a completely new challenge to be regional manager for a big industrial brewery in Cameroon. I moved back to France in early 2011 and wanted to re-establish my history in the electronics market and joined Azego in Toulouse to help develop the French market.

My hobbies include most sports, particularly Tennis (qualified coach) and supporting my birth place football team St Etienne (the greens) and Arsenal! I have a passion for travel having lived in spain, germany, Gabon, Cameroon, Congo, and Ivory coast, Burkina,etc….. I have a HND in sales and a master in marketing and business administration, I speak French, English, German and a bit of spanish.

Barry Ward began his distribution sales career with SASCO Ltd back in 1978. He worked with many distribution companies in sales and general management including a three-year stint in the USA as Vice President of IGG Corporation. Barry returned to the UK to run Spartan Europe in 2000.

Joining Azego has given him the chance for a new challenge in independent distribution where he appreciates the freedom to find a solution for the customer without the franchise dictating terms.

His hobbies include Rugby (sadly only watching now) music, cooking and has been known to drink the odd glass of wine.

Roger Needham joined Azego in August 2007 as store man and later developed into the ideal candidate for QA manager to maintain our ISO9001:2000 quality assurance manual.

Roger has a great ability to smell a bad component from miles away, nothing non conforming gets past our stores department.

Rogers hobbies include his love of Reading football club (season ticket holder), reading, cooking, skydiving.
